27–29 January 2026
Brussels

Building on the success of previous ECATS conferences, this time the International Association is proud to join forces with the OLGA Project to deliver a dynamic three-day event that brings together the global research and practitioner community dedicated to reducing aviation’s climate impact.
Day 1: Lighthouse Projects in Focus
The opening day will spotlight OLGA and other Lighthouse projects such as Stargate and TULIPS. Designed to foster collaboration and exchange, this session will explore shared challenges and insights as these projects move into their delivery phase. Expect a carefully curated lineup of invited speakers delivering high-quality, actionable insights, alongside a strategic panel discussion with project coordinators.
This practitioner-driven day will emphasise real-world applications and measurable outcomes, focusing on (but not limited to):
Waste and environmental management
Hydrogen and other sustainable aviation fuels
Green flights and operational interdependencies
Energy systems and multimodal transport integration
Days 2 & 3: Scientific Conference
The second and third days will shift to a traditional scientific format, featuring peer-reviewed papers and abstract submissions. These sessions will delve into ECATS’ core research themes through plenary talks, presentations, and collaborative discussion:
Airport Air Quality
Alternative Fuels
Climate Impact & Mitigation
Green Flights and Interdependency
Sustainable Aircraft & Propulsion Technologies
Circular Aviation – aircraft lifecycle sustainability
Dedicated Poster Sessions
Each thematic session will include 4–5 expert presentations and a dedicated poster session – typically featuring around 30 posters – will run during networking breaks, with opportunities for focused discussion.
Co-hosted by ECATS International Association and the OLGA Project (olga-project.eu), this three-day event will unite researchers, innovators, and practitioners working at the forefront of sustainable aviation.
