The OLGA (hOListic & Green Airports) project partners are delighted to invite you to a
public conference on the theme of green airports and smart cities. The event is hosted
by Zagreb Airport and will take place on 13 December 2023, between 09:00 and 18:00.
This conference supports the commitment of the European Green Deal to urgently
reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in aviation through smart and sustainable
mobility, thus fostering a drastically less polluting transport sector and a better-quality
of life for the local communities.

The event consists of three sessions:
Session 1: Panel discussion on Shaping Green Airports & Smart Cities
This session will bring together city representatives, policymakers, academia, and experts to jointly discuss pressing questions related to mobility, tourism, and environment, with focus on Zagreb Airport as a case study.
Session 2: OLGA project and the transition to green airports
This session will elaborate on some of the main innovative solutions generated by the OLGA project, with focus on multimodality, energy, and airside.
Session 3: European best practices for green airports and smart cities
In this session, several best practices for sustainable aviation will be presented by ECATS, the network of Excellence on Aviation and Environment.

Parking for participants is secured at the airport’s commercial parking lot for free. Additional information will be provided after the registration.
Dinner
A post-conference dinner for all participants is organised at the Passenger Terminal of Zagreb Airport.
